A harbour village like no other
St Aubin is one of those places that gets under your skin. Cobbled streets wind up from the harbour past pastel-coloured cottages, independent shops, and galleries that have been here longer than anyone can remember. The harbour itself is the heart of it all — fishing boats, sailing dinghies, and the constant rhythm of the tide. Once Jersey's principal port, St Aubin still carries that maritime character in everything from its architecture to its atmosphere. Wander up the High Street, explore the backstreets, or simply sit by the water and watch the world go by. There's no better introduction to the island.

THE RAILWAY WALK TO CORBIÈRE

THE RAILWAY WALK TO CORBIÈRE

Jersey's most iconic coastal path
The old railway line out of St Aubin has been transformed into one of Jersey's finest coastal walks. Flat, wide and endlessly photogenic, the path follows the shoreline all the way to La Corbière lighthouse at the island's south-western tip. At low tide you can cross to the lighthouse itself and take in the old German naval tower that sits nearby. It's a four-mile round trip that starts right outside the pub, and the pint waiting at the end tastes all the better for it.
